Alley Cats Bowling Brand Identity

Client:
Alley Cats Bowling & Entertainment
About the project:
As a cat lover, this project was right up my alley. I got to include several fun Easter eggs in this concept relating to Princeton, Indiana where the bowling alley is located. Since Princeton was named after William Prince, an Irish immigrant, I incorporated connections to him and Ireland through the use of color and a small prince crown. Crowns are also frequently used in bowling alley iconography (kingpin, etc.), so the icon fits conceptually.
I suggested naming the cat “Lucky” for several reasons. Lucky seems like an appropriate name for an alley cat. It references the luck of the Irish, suggesting good fortune. The lucky cat in Japanese culture also symbolizes good luck and prosperity—lots of Lucky Cat references.
