About the project:
VEATS has been near and dear to my heart as a client. When we travel outside Evansville, we seek out vegan restaurants because 9 times out of 10 they outperform other restaurants. And let me tell you how lucky we are to have the best of the best right here in our city. Although they don’t have a restaurant, they do have pop-ups currently that you don’t want to miss. I will absolutely evangelize for their food.
This is my second time designing a brand identity for VEATS because they’ve grown and evolved as a business. They wanted a look that’s bold and fresh which reflects their brand. Their food is over-the-top extra bold, so that’s what we were after.
I had so much fun designing the characters as mascots for this brand. Their staple is there “chicken”, so we started with the nug and branched out to a cookie, a doughnut, and a dibit.
