Wesselman Woods Logo

Client

Wesselman Woods is the largest tract of virgin, old growth forest within any city limits in the United States. It's a surviving segment of Southern Indiana's original forests. The Wesselman Nature Preserve has a mission of creating experiences which connect people to nature, motivate them to lead sustainable lives and take action to protect wildlife and wild places. It's a magical place, and we wanted to capture some of the feel of the woods by showcasing some of its flora and fauna in its logo. This also is a call back to one of their early logos that included a bird, a flower, and greenery. The forms are encased in a hexagonal shape that creates a park-like badge.
