“What Happened Here” History Mural

This wall at the Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science illustrates the abbreviated history of the events that took place in our region since the Earth formed. The timeline takes viewers through Pre-Cambrian Evansville up to the McGary Purchase in an easy-to-digest manner. The design is approachable for children and includes hands-on features. You can literally feel history by touching coal and limestone; both are natural resources that made an impact on Evansville’s economy.
