Woods & Woods Art Prints & Mural

Client:
Woods & Woods, LLC
About the project:
Woods & Woods is a disability firm for Veterans. The moved from their previous location in the historic Old Vanderburgh County jail building to the old Center of Hope Church, which is just a half a block from our house. So they’re neighbors now! They completely renovated the old church into a stunning landmark in our neighborhood. We love the new glowing steeple and exterior that they light up with different colors depending on the day or holiday.
Michael Caron Design was commissioned to design the interior space, and he brought me, Alex Morgan, and the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana in to create custom artwork for the halls of their business. I was asked to create more than 40 works of art in a vibrant pop-art style using existing imagery from Alex Morgan’s collection and the collection of the Evansville Museum of Arts, History, and Science. The goal was to create a collection of work that celebrates our city as well as our wartime efforts using the museum’s WWII collection. It was a fun project that got me out of my normal comfort zone.
